VELNARO is built to work without tracking cookies. Here is everything we store in your browser, and why.

No tracking cookies from VELNARO

VELNARO does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. There is no cross-site profile, no advertising identifier and no remarketing pixel operated by us. You can use every tool on the site with third-party cookies blocked.

Browser storage we do use

  • sessionStorage — a random, per-session identifier so our own analytics can tell one visit from another. It is discarded when you close the tab and contains nothing about you.
  • localStorage — a cached copy of the tool search index, so search works instantly and offline.
  • localStorage — a list of tools you have opened recently, shown back to you in the sidebar. It never leaves your device.
  • localStorage — cached exchange rates for the currency converter, with their timestamp.

Clearing this data

Clearing site data in your browser removes all of it, and nothing breaks — the site simply rebuilds those caches the next time you visit. In Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → View permissions and data stored across sites. In Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data. In Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.

Advertising cookies

If advertising is enabled on the site, Google AdSense (and its partners) may set cookies or similar technologies to serve, cap and measure adverts. This is governed by Google’s policies, not ours. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings, via the Digital Advertising Alliance or EDAA opt-outs, or by using an ad blocker.

Do I need to accept cookies to use the site?

No. VELNARO does not gate any tool behind a cookie banner, because we do not set cookies that require consent for the site to function. If advertising is enabled in your region, you may see a consent message relating to advertising cookies; declining it does not restrict access to any tool.

If we ever introduce a technology that stores something new in your browser, this page will be updated to describe it before it goes live.
