Privacy Policy

The short version

Most VELNARO tools run entirely in your browser. The numbers, text and dates you type are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to us. You do not need an account, we do not ask for your name or email to use a tool, and we do not sell personal data.

What we do not collect

• The values you enter into a calculator, converter, generator or text tool
• Your name, email address or phone number (unless you email us yourself)
• Account data — there are no accounts to create
• Precise location — we never request device GPS location
• Advertising identifiers or cross-site tracking profiles

What is processed when you load a page

Like any website, our servers necessarily receive the request needed to send you a page. This includes the page path, your IP address, user-agent string and referrer. We use this only to serve the site, keep it secure and produce aggregate statistics.

We run our own lightweight analytics: a page view records the path, a random per-session identifier kept in your browser’s sessionStorage, and coarse information such as country and device type. There is no advertising identifier and no cross-site profile.

Tool usage and search analytics

To understand which tools are useful, we record anonymous events such as “tool viewed” and “tool used”, keyed by tool slug — never by the values you entered. Search queries typed into the VELNARO search box are recorded in aggregate to help us build tools people actually want; they are not linked to you personally.

Tools that use external data

The currency converter requests live exchange rates from the VELNARO server. That request tells our server that someone loaded the converter — it does not include the amount or currencies you typed. Rates are fetched from a public third-party rate provider; the provider sees a request from our server, not from you.

The IP information tool shows you the IP address your connection presents, read from request headers. It is displayed to you and not written to any analytics or user database.

Cookies and local storage

VELNARO does not set tracking cookies. We use browser storage for functional purposes: sessionStorage holds a random analytics session id, and localStorage caches the tool search index and your recently used tools so the site works faster and offline. You can clear both at any time from your browser settings. See the cookie policy for detail.

Advertising

If advertising is enabled, we use Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies or use device identifiers to serve and measure ads, which is a separate relationship governed by Google’s own policies. You can control personalised advertising through Google’s ad settings, or block ads entirely — every tool continues to work without them.

Children

VELNARO is a general-purpose utility site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Health calculators are informational and should be used with a parent, guardian or clinician where appropriate.

Data retention

Aggregate analytics statistics are kept for as long as they are useful for product decisions and are not linked to individuals. Server request logs follow the retention of our hosting provider. There is no profile to delete because there is no profile.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port personal data, and to object to processing. Because we do not hold account data or the contents of your calculations, there is usually nothing identifiable for us to produce — but ask and we will confirm. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the “last updated” date at the top will change. We will not retroactively start collecting the contents of your calculations without saying so clearly.
